I'm also trying to pass data with BT between Edison and phone (Android). I didn't really catch all the part regarding the pairing but at first I only want to pass data (characters, string...). I also found the following link during my Internet researches : RFCOMM sockets.
I'm wondering if you managed to pass data with the samples given on the previous website. I tried to used python (not C for the moment) but does not work because "import bluetooth" doesn't compile, library is probably not on the Edison (I'm using release ww42 by the way).
Could you give me more details about how you managed to pass data over BT ?
